Packing for your Dog's Stay at Wooferties

🐾 What to Pack for Your Dog’s Boarding Stay at Wooferties

When it’s time for your pup’s sleepover at Wooferties, we want you to feel confident that they’ll be safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. One of the most common questions we hear is:

ā€œWhat should I pack for my dog’s boarding stay?ā€

Here’s a guide to help you prepare, along with a few important reminders that make the experience smooth for both your dog and our team.

šŸ›ļø Bedding & Comfort Items

Yes — you’re welcome to bring your dog’s bed! We’ll do our best to ensure it goes home clean and safe. That said, some dogs use their bedding as a stress tool (chewing, digging, or shredding when they’re nervous), just like humans bite their nails. There’s also always the chance of flipped water bowls or the occasional potty accident.

šŸ‘‰ Tip: If your pup has a very expensive or sentimental bed, you may want to pack a backup one for their stay.

šŸŽ¾ Toys & Personal Items

Toys are welcome, but they’ll stay in your dog’s kennel for downtime. For safety, toys are not shared when all pups are out playing together.

Please do not bring bows or decorative items — we have plenty, and they often get lost or chewed up during play.

šŸ– Food & Meals

To keep your dog on their normal diet (and avoid tummy troubles), please bring their own food — individually bagged for each meal.

This helps us serve your pup quickly and ensures every dog gets exactly what they need. If food isn’t pre-bagged, we do charge a small fee, since staff would have to take time away from play to prepare meals.

šŸ’Š Medications

All medications must be in the original container with labels. This helps us dose correctly and keep your pup safe.

šŸ• Leashes & Collars

For safety in play areas, collars and leashes are removed during your pup’s stay. We’ll keep them neatly stored in their personal box until pickup time.

āœ… Packing Checklist for Boarding

  • āœ”ļø Bed (optional, but welcome)

  • āœ”ļø Favorite toy(s) for kennel time

  • āœ”ļø Individually bagged meals

  • āœ”ļø Medications in original containers

  • āœ”ļø Leash & collar (we’ll store them safely)

Final Tips from the Wooferties Team

Packing familiar items helps your dog feel at home, but remember: our team works hard to give every pup plenty of love, play, and comfort. Even if your dog forgets their favorite bed or toy, they’ll still have a tail-wagging good time with us!
